Vertical Aerospace is a pioneering British electric aircraft company. OMI support Vertical Aerospace with all aspects of industrial design and imagery and have been working closely with their team on their next-generation aircraft. In 2022, we played a crucial role in showcasing the VX4 eVTOL prototype during its first public reveal, designing the show stand and finalising the aircraft for the Farnborough Air Show. Our involvement also extended to capturing photography and creating imagery for the VX4.
Working closely with the Vertical team and the show stand builders, we were instrumental in delivering a seamless in-person experience. We translated the Vertical brand into a physical space, meticulously planning the layout and selecting materials and furnishings to create a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
The VX4 aircraft is a new mode of urban transport. One that’s fully electric, sustainable, and convenient. The aircraft captures the essence of electric flight; combining innovative materiality and considered design.
We curated a selection of raw sheet materials for the show stand that reflected Vertical’s bold and modern identity, setting them apart from traditional aircraft manufacturers. This approach received high praise at Farnborough, with the exhibition standing out and reinforcing our leadership in the industry.
