A standout feature of the Spaceship Neptune interior is the Space Spa – a one-of-a-kind lavatory designed as a personal sanctuary during spaceflight. Tucked into one side of the capsule, the Space Spa lives up to its name, offering a serene retreat with clean lines and minimal visual distractions, creating an open and calming environment.
The Space Spa’s design is cocooning and comforting, featuring smooth, rounded surfaces that are soft and welcoming. This approach enhances the sense of comfort and ensures easy maintenance with surfaces that are quick to clean. Designed to contrast with the rest of the capsule, the Space Spa provides a refreshing, revitalising experience for passengers, while the soft yellow colour palette adds a rejuvenating and optimistic touch, harmonising with the ever-changing views outside the windows.
Our goal was to craft an environment that feels more like a spa than a standard flight experience. The interior features individual furniture pieces reminiscent of a domestic setting rather than the fully integrated lavatories found in commercial aircraft. Ambient lighting creates a customisable atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience while reducing reflections in the capsule windows.
